There is nothing more elusive than a definitive scoop on the “best” Paris night clubs.

The Paris nightlife scene is such a dynamic environment, trends come and go, particularly with en vogue clubs, which can fall in or out of favor with club goers seemingly overnight.

Except for very well established venues, the hottest spot this month may be ancient history by the time you get to check it out.

Note: In my top Paris night clubs selection, I will specifically be referring to all-night dance spots, as opposed to the myriad of other Paris nightlife options such as cabarets, jazz bars, comedy clubs, etc…

There are just too many components to the Paris nightlife scene, and they cater to every genre and every creed, from the most mundane to the most outrageous, the S & M, the swinger’s clubs, etc... Entire publications try in vain to come up with a comprehensive list, but it remains mission impossible, even to the most dedicated.

My much more modest objective will be to ease the challenge for the casual Paris visitors simply looking for a reliable spot to go enjoy a rare night in Paris.

That is why I wanted my Paris night clubs list to be about establishments with proven longevity and a consistent popularity record; not a here-today, gone-tomorrow type of hot spots. I believe this will be more useful to most.

And since my personal night club preferences and yours may or may not be in sync, I wouldn't want to recommend a Paris night club if there is a chance it might end up a total disaster on your lone Saturday night in Paris! Ooops!

For the same reason, I have to warn you about wannabes who often trash top Paris night clubs with phrases like “Oh, it’s so passé”, or “Oh, hip Parisians no longer go there”, only to steer you towards a god-awful club full of other snooty wannabes. Hey, been there, done that and just trying to save you the aggravation. In my humble opinion, sometimes it’s best to go for a sure thing.

From my descriptions, I hope that you will at the very least be able to tell immediately whether you would want to take a chance with a particular club I describe, or whether from the sound of it, your feeling is “No way Jose!”

As always, I invite those of you with a positive experience (and negative ones as well) to share the info. Your contributions can truly help a fellow Paris traveler.

So, with no further a-do, here is in no particular order of merit, my top Paris night clubs list. (Click on the club name for my full review).
